We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Operations Manager to oversee safety initiatives across our site development and construction projects. This is a critical leadership role focused on driving safety culture, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence through proactive safety management and team development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage safety performance across multiple construction projects
  • Mentor and support Health and Safety Coordinators and Specialists in the field
  • Conduct advanced risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate safety into planning and execution
  • Design, implement, and improve company-wide health and safety policies and programs
  • Deliver advanced safety training to employees and subcontractors
  • Oversee major incident investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local safety regulations
  • Conduct regular site audits and prepare for third-party safety inspections
  • Analyze safety data to drive continuous improvement and strategic safety planning
  • Oversee emergency preparedness plans for various job site scenarios
  • Act as a key liaison with regulatory bodies and external partners
  • Foster a culture of safety through ongoing engagement and visibility in the field
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in construction health and safety with multi-site responsibilities
  • Advanced safety certifications such as CSP, CHST, or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of OSHA, ANSI, and relevant industry standards
  • Proven success in accident investigation and implementation of safety improvement plans
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in safety management systems and Microsoft Office tools
