Location: Shalom Gardens Health & Rehab, Richmond, VA.

Employment type: Full-Time.

Join our team as Maintenance Director and play a vital role in ensuring a comfortable, secure environment where residents feel truly at home.

• Oversee all building systems, maintenance operations, and repairs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules and ensure full regulatory compliance (state, federal, CMS, Life Safety Code)
• Supervise and develop the maintenance team, fostering accountability and pride in workmanship
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, inspections, and capital projects
• Lead emergency preparedness and safety initiatives
• Partner with leadership to support a clean, safe, and home‑like environment for residents, staff, and visitors

• 3–5+ years of maintenance leadership experience (healthcare or LTC setting preferred)
• Strong understanding of OSHA and Life Safety Code requirements
• Proven ability to troubleshoot building systems and manage budgets
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Bonus:
  Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) or equivalent credential
