Job Overview

Riverside Logistics Supervisors are responsible for leading a team of associates performing warehouse functions as assigned. They provide support to the Warehouse Manager in the analysis of workloads to determine work schedules and billing activities, and effectively communicate daily with management, peers, team members, and external customers. They ensure accuracy, work quality, and strict adherence to company and customer specified standards/requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all functions of Associates and Team Leader as needed.
  • Post and create Warehouse Documents as needed for the assigned position.
  • Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage warehouse operations such as routing batches and travel documents.
  • Analyze work activities and volumes and provide daily updates to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with determining work schedules and staffing arrangements.
  • Ensure compliance with Riverside and customer policies and procedures with strict adherence to quality guidelines.
  • Provide constructive feedback in a positive manner to assigned teams.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager in conducting regular team meetings.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors, managers, subordinates, warehouse personnel, and peers.
  • Enforce company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook and recommend corrective or disciplinary actions to the Warehouse Manager as needed.
  • Interact with customers via phone, fax, and email regarding daily cross‑dock orders and shipments.
  • Research cross‑dock receipt discrepancies as needed.
  • Train associates and other personnel on SOPs and Work Instructions.
  • Process Return Goods Authorization (RGA) as assigned.
  • Perform maintenance for customer log spreadsheets.
  • Inspect Nonconforming Material Report (NCMR) and provide updates/findings to customers.
  • Open and close the assigned facility and provide security alarm response.
Qualifications

Essential skills include leadership, strong communication, knowledge of WMS, analytical and organizational abilities, and the ability to enforce policies and guidelines.
