Explore your future careerAs a Senior Engineering Manager, you will be a key leader, overseeing the delivery, efficiency, and people management for the Matching and Sourcing squads, composed of 8-10 product engineers. Actually, you will be in charge of the growth and development of AI search (our main staffing flow) and ATS (enabling independent selection and evaluation of freelancers). You will play a crucial role in defining and implementing our technical strategy, driving project schedules, and fostering a high-performing and collaborative engineering environment.

- Contribute to the core of Malt :
Leverage LLM to build the best end-to-end sourcing experience and enable clients to find the top freelancers in Europe. - Lead Product Delivery :
Oversee the successful delivery and efficiency of 2 product squads, ensuring that we release valuable features to our users swiftly and effectively. - Optimize Team Performance :
Drive team speed and productivity by implementing effective organizational rituals and promoting sound technological practices. - Develop and Grow Talent :
Recruit, manage, and empower a team of 4 to 10 senior developers, providing continuous coaching, feedback, and support for their professional growth and success. - Problem Solver & Facilitator :
Act as the primary point of contact for your teams, proactively managing dependencies (both organizational and technical) and resolving any obstacles that could hinder team delivery. - Strategic Collaborator :
Partner closely with product managers, tech leads, other senior engineering managers, and staff engineers to understand, co-construct, and effectively communicate the team's product strategy.
- A significant experience as a hands-on Manager :
You enjoy being part of code review, MR, architecture discussion and technical quality. - Clear leadership :
You excel at working effectively in uncertain and evolving environments, managing the interaction between technical objectives and business priorities. - Methodology :
You possess a deep mastery of agile methodologies and best practices for organizing product development teams. - Technical Mentor :
You have strong technical and craft skills, enabling you to effectively disseminate best practices within the team and provide valuable coaching to developers. - Product Mindset :
You have previous experience working in a product company, ideally within an international context. - Resourceful :
You always find a way of getting things done, even under severe staffing constraints. - Fluent in written and spoken English (French is a plus)
- Impactful :
You demonstrate excellent ownership and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of agency in driving solutions. - Strong interpersonal abilities :
You possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English (French is a valuable bonus).
- First call with Alex, our Talent Acquisition Business Partner, to better understand your background, aspirations, and answer any questions you may have. (45 minutes)
- Interview with your future manager, Jean (VP engineering), to delve into your experience and the specifics of the role. (60 minutes)
- Management case and debrief with fellow EMs
- Technical case and debrief with staff engineers
- Final interview with Claire (CTO) to discuss Malt's long-term vision
