Business Director - Operational Risk ManagementRisk Analytical Solutions (RAS) is a horizontal data analysis function that delivers reporting and analyses for our operational risk program. As the Business Director leading this function you will build upon a strong foundation of well-managed results and
1) integrate Discover Operational Risk reporting capabilities,
2) develop and execute a vision for the future of RAS, in partnership with Risk Product Management. You will work closely with all of the leaders across Operational Risk Management to shape the future of the program.
General Responsibilities:
Strategic leadership:
Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demandsLeadership:
Manage and develop multiple teams, and lead the integration of the team supporting Discover Operational Risk reporting. Coaching and mentoring associates with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital OneProduct:
Develop and implement new product in conjunction with our product management functionExecution:
Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrentlyPartnership:
Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including:
Tech, Product, Finance, and all of the first lines to drive improvement in our reporting and and analytical capabilities in Operational RiskStrategic; analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation

Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment. Previous consulting experience is a plus
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering)
At least 7 years of experience in analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree
2+ years of experience in financial services
1+ year of experience in consulting
3+ years of experience in people management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
