Assembler - GPHE CUG 2nd Shift

About the Job

The Assembler runs production processes according to Safety & Quality standards and improves them based on business demand. The role is onsite at Richmond, VA.

Your shift schedule will be Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, overtime as needed including weekends.

• Accurate & consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Shoes, Gloves, Uniform, etc.)
• Receive daily work assignments from the Team Leader/Team Manager and execute production with Standard Operating Procedures and blueprints as a base.
• Report any deviations (Safety, Quality, Parts, Equipment, etc.) to Status Boards immediately and update the Team Leader/Team Manager.
• Be active and engaged in the Daily Status Board Meetings by explaining the deviations and proposing solutions.
• Review & suggest any improvements for the Standard Operating Procedures.
• Look into your own areas for waste (time, motion, transportation, inventory, etc.) elimination opportunities and drive KAIZEN improvements.
• Engage in daily & weekly 5S routines to achieve high 5S standards and sustain them.
• Constantly look for cross‑training opportunities within different manufacturing processes & better ways to add value.
• Use downtime efficiently to learn new processes & run improvements from status board activities.

• High school or GED minimum.
• Crane & Forklift certifications, nice to have.
• Some experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Able to read drawings, blueprints, manufacturing orders, etc.
• Basic Computer Skills.

The base salary for this role is typically $20.00 hourly.
