Assembler (1st Shift)

Location:
Richmond, VA facility.
Hours:
7 AM - 3:30 PM.

- Build sub-assemblies and assemblies to customer specifications involving complex and repetitive wiring and mechanics for Power Distribution Units (PDU), Remote Power Panels (RPP), Static Transfer Switches (STS), Transformers, Tap Off Boxes and Busway systems.
- Follow SOPs.
- Use heavy industrial equipment (cranes, winding machines, fabrication, welding, brazing equipment).
- Conduct visual inspections before and after assembly.
- Use fixtures, gauges, hand tools, and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance and adjust as needed.
- Adhere to company, environmental, health, safety rules and regulations.
- Provide process and safety improvement ideas.
- Ensure machines and tools are calibrated and perform housekeeping using 5S+ principles.
- Other duties as assigned.
- No relocation benefit is offered. Candidates must live within 50‑mile radius of Richmond, VA (military exempt).
- U.S. citizenship or work authorization; no immigration sponsorship will be offered.
- Experience in production, packaging or construction, or equivalent education.
- Experience with standard operating procedures.
- Experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance or repair.
- Basic working knowledge of computers.
- Mechanical, electrical, safety procedures knowledge.
- Read and interpret SOPs, wiring diagrams, bills of material.
- Work daily and/or weekend overtime; flex to different areas/local plants as needed.
- Lift, push, pull 50 lbs; use crane once trained.
- Stand for extended periods; repetitive lifting, bending, squatting inherent.
- Use hand tools and machines to manipulate metal or wire.
