Position: 11165H - Operations Associate I (Hourly)

Summary of Duties

The role involves performing tasks such as medical device assembly, picking orders, and boxing products as part of a production team.

Essential Functions

  • Assembles medical products on an assembly line, performing various tasks on a rotating basis.
  • Performs on-line and in-process visual inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Ensures assembled products meet quality standards.
  • Rejects products outside of specifications.
  • Picks and verifies orders for accuracy.
  • Prepares shipments, including labeling.
  • Performs basic boxing procedures.
  • Adheres to safety standards.
  • May require working overtime.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Physical and Environmental Demands

    • Lifting up to 50 lbs. (local practices may vary)
    • Writing, sitting, standing, bending
    • Visual acuity, color and depth perception, reading, field of vision
    • Requires fine motor skills
    • Exposure to noise, chemical vapors, soldering fumes

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to rotate on an assembly line and meet line rate expectations
    • Ability to recognize and distinguish medical products by appearance
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Basic math skills
    • Ability to understand and follow instructions
    • Teamwork skills
    • Dexterity and fine motor skills
    • Ability to visually check work for correctness
    • Dependability in attendance and punctuality

    Competencies

    • Medical product assembly and eye-hand coordination
    • Assembly line rotation
    • Quality inspection

    Comments

    This position is classified as Infectious Control Risk Category III, indicating minimal exposure to blood or body fluids.
