Oliver Inc. is looking for a passionate Second Pressman to join our team. The Second Pressman will assist the Lead Pressman by performing the primary, manual tasks and secondary verification, observation and inspection tasks associated with the operation of a large and complex offset printing machine.

SHIFTS - 1st & 2nd

As our Second Pressman
, you will:

• Review job order specifications and department instruction sheets, to ensure that the specified materials are used and specifications are followed.
• Install and remove printing and coating blankets.
• Pack plate and blanket cylinders to machine and paperboard specifications.
• Set and adjust double sheet detectors, side guide, head stops and gripper fingers.
• Monitor offset powder supply and replenish as necessary.
• Retrieve, install and remove printing plates.
• All other tasks as assigned.

You’re a fit for the role of Second Pressman
, if your background includes:

• Minimum of 1 year experience operating a multi‑color offset, flexo or gravure printing press, or serving as an assistant/2nd Pressman on a multi‑color offset printing crew is required.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic computations, (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, & Division), including comfort working with fractions and decimals is required.
• Should be attentive, show initiative, have a strong desire to learn and progress, be capable of performing detailed examinations and remain attentive to details which includes the ability to concentrate amid distractions.
• Accurate color discrimination
• High school education
