1st shift Assembler
Job Description
Join our team as an Assembler, where you'll engage in fast-paced, engineered-to-order assembly tasks. You'll work on unique and special contract assembly jobs, requiring skills in blueprint reading and quality assurance.
Responsibilities- Assemble sub-components and finished products using hand and power tools.
- Operate an overhead crane
- Participate in fast-paced production and assembly tasks.
- Lift 60lbs+ to fit product together efficiently.
- Work with a team member to fulfill product orders daily.
- Perform lifting, climbing, standing, walking, and extending arms for extended periods.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read assembly drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with mechanical assembly and schematics.
- Comfortable with lifting heavy objects.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in assembly or production environments.
- Comfort with repetitive lifting and fast-paced work.
- High School Diploma or GED required upon permanent employment conversion.
Experience working in a climate-controlled facility that prioritizes neatness, cleanliness, and organization through the 5S system. Enjoy the convenience of an onsite cafeteria and a dedicated trainer during your initial two-week training program. Employees receive two weeks of PTO upon permanent conversion and access to a company-funded GED program.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes first, second, and third shifts, offering flexibility in work hours. The manufacturing floor is clean, organized, and large, with clearly labeled sections based on materials and production. The role demands physical activity, including lifting, climbing, and operating equipment for extended periods.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
