Kids Volunteer Engagement & Development VISTA (In-Person) – Ameri Corps

The Virginia Capacity Building Project supports Serve Virginia and partners in alleviating poverty through organizational capacity building. While working across a range of issue areas—substance use disorder, educational opportunities, and more—Ameri Corps members help increase volunteer impact and pursue healthy futures for all Virginians.

• Serve the community and develop professional skills through a year of Ameri Corps VISTA service.
• Build capacity by optimizing existing volunteer programs.
• Assess opportunities and obstacles within the Young Professionals Board.
• Develop a comprehensive community engagement plan.
• Apply strong time‑management, communication, collaboration, and relationship‑building skills; adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrate technological proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and Google Suite; volunteer coordination experience is a plus.
• Hold a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and be able to pass a background check.
