Purpose of the JobThe Local Missions Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the strategy to initiate, build, and support local outreach across all Northview campuses within their assigned region and collaborates with other Local Missions Coordinators. This is an Exempt, Full-Time Salary position in the Missions Ministry and reports to the Local Missions Director.
Essential Duties Campus Coordination- Has responsibility for executing missions’ strategy for Campuses of their region
- Works closely with Campus Pastors to help develop local outreach goals, execute church-wide initiatives, and help select the Ministry Associates (MA)
- Set vision and strategy for campus missions/outreach
- Communicates mission objectives and upcoming events and promotion to Ministry Associates and Campuses
- Participate in campus mission projects and serving teams
- Identify and recruit volunteers and Ministry Associates
- Ensure Ministry Associates are meeting expectations spelled out in their dashboard/scorecard
- Meets with Ministry Associates individually at least one time per month to develop and coach
- Meets with campus pastors at least one time per quarter
- Develop relationships with Campus Outreach Partners
- Carries the vision of Church Leadership to Local Missions
- Provide Budget oversight for Campus missions/outreach
- Maintains relationships with strategic partners through consistent communication as it pertains to Teams strategy
- Attends applicable partner meetings with strategic partner organizations
- Works closely with these partners to help them understand how best to partner with Northview Church as it pertains to the teams strategy
- Develop and teach relevant church/missions leadership curriculum
- Work with Campus Staff to develop/implement strategy to place teams at ministry partners
- Supports Teams Leaders by helping them recruit, train, and coordinate their serving teams
- Shows commitment to Cultural Standards
- Assigns administrative projects to Local Ministry Associates
- Maintains Local Missions Data in church database
- Responsible for coordination of Large Missions events at their campuses of responsibility
- Responds to emails and voicemails within 24 hours
- Performs related duties as assigned by manager
- Track Metrics
- Work and develop cross departmental relationships
- Assist other departments when needed to move ministry forward.
- This position may require working on nights and weekends
Bachelor's degree in related field plus 2-3 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related experience includes Event Planning, Volunteer Mobilization, and Project Management. Experience in vocational ministry preferred.
