Now hiring for 2025 and 2026 Nurse Residency start dates! The HCA Nurse Residency Program at Chippenham Hospital provides a year‑long program to give you hands‑on experience to help establish valuable clinical and critical thinking skills. As a Resident Graduate Nurse you will receive support from nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents guiding you from student nurse to registered nurse.

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions ordered by medical providers; document care in patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and intervene as appropriate.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving proactively.
• Teach patients, families and caregivers about medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures; translate complex terminology for understanding.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
• Other certifications may be required during employment
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in state
• No previous experience needed
• Some travel may be required for training
