Job Summary

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in the Mood Disorder unit per state and specialty standards. In collaboration with medical providers and care team members, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN supports patients, families, and caregivers as advocates and exemplifies the organization’s values.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identify and report changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Respond promptly to patient requests; anticipate and resolve patient needs proactively.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan promoting recovery.
  • Serve as interface between healthcare providers and community support systems for specialized patient groups.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Registered Nurse diploma.
