Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Children's Pavilion Primary Care - Part-Time

Sign‑on Bonus: $5,000 for offers accepted by November 30, 2025.

The role assists the healthcare team with prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. The LPN also provides direction, education, and assumes leadership responsibilities at the unit level.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Obtain health history
• Obtain vital signs
• Perform hearing and vision screenings
• Administer vaccines and medications (oral and injections)
• Handle in‑basket messages & calls
• Chart prep
• Document via EMR (EPIC)

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements (For Hire):
LPN licensure in Virginia or eligible equivalent.

Certification, or Registration Requirements (For Continued Employment):
Current LPN Licensure in Virginia, AHA BLS Certification or equivalent.

Experience (Required): Varies based on transitional duty assignment.

Experience (Preferred): Experience as an LPN in acute care or relevant setting.

Education (Required): Graduate from a Board of Nursing approved School of Practical Nursing.

Independent Action(s)

Required:

Follow documented physician/licensed provider orders and practice guidelines.

Physical Requirements: Lifting 50–100 lbs.; exposure to hazardous/infectious substances; prolonged standing/sitting; frequent bending, walking, climbing; reaching.

Mental/Sensory Requirements: Strong recall, reasoning, problem‑solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, reading, logical thinking.

Emotional Requirements: Steady pace, frequent customer interactions, noisy environment, adaptable to change.
