Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN Medical Care – CJW Medical Center

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) with Johnston‑Willis Hospital to promote growth and provide high‑quality patient‑centered care in medical care units. As a CNC, you will mentor and support a team of nurses to achieve the best outcomes for acutely ill adults recovering from nonsurgical and post‑surgical conditions.

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and quality care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care quality in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes.
• Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
• Process nursing strategies such as employee rounding and hourly rounds to improve engagement.
• Recommend and implement staff recruitment, training, and development programs. Provide guidance on conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with patient‑care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Maintain inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred). 
• Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or current Multistate Compact License.
• 3+ years of acute‑care nursing experience (preferred).
• 1 year of medical‑surgical experience in an acute‑care setting.
• 1 year of leadership experience in a hospital setting (preferred).
• Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification.
