Registered Nurse RN NICU Part Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly‑skilled and compassionate RN to deliver exceptional patient care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at CJW Medical Center. This part‑time night shift position (two 12‑hour shifts per week) requires direct nursing care of critically ill newborns and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

• Deliver patient‑centered nursing care to infants, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide evidence‑based care and perform tests.
• Document patient conditions using computerized documentation systems.
• Educate infant caregivers and coordinate discharge planning.
• Maintain cultural awareness and provide respectful care to patients and families.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
• 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting required; preferred 1 year in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
• Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification preferred.
