Clinic OverviewLocated on the 11th floor of the Adult Outpatient Pavilion, our Multispecialty Surgery & Wound Care Clinic provides specialized care to patients age 14 and above. We serve patients throughout their diagnostic and surgical journey and manage and treat a variety of patient wounds including ulcers, non‑healing wounds, surgical wounds, skin tears, ostomy and wound vac. We offer wound care education and diligently assist our patients in obtaining supplies needed for their care.
Our team of RNs, LPNs and CMAs works collaboratively to their full scope of practice to best serve our patients. Our clinic hours are Monday‑Friday 8am‑5pm.
The LPN job commences to integrate technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet the needs of the patient and family. This role assists the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. This role also provides direction, education, and begins to assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level.
The LPN job delivers and accurately documents direct, age‑specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care. This role safely administers prescribed medications, identifying incompatibilities and/or interactions.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for HireLicensure, certification or registration varies depending on the incumbent’s employment background and transitional assignment;
- LPN licensure in Virginia or eligible Licensure
Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:
- Current LPN Licensure in Virginia
- AHA BLS Certification or equivalent
Experience
REQUIRED:
- Varies based on transitional duty assignment.
Experience PREFERRED:
- Experience as an LPN in either an acute care setting or as applicable to area of practice
Education/training
REQUIRED:
- Graduate from a Board of Nursing approved School of Practical Nursing

- Follows documented physician/licensed independent provider orders, standards, and practice guidelines such as treatments and organizes work to carry out assignment.
