OverviewThe Nurse Program Coordinator coordinates activities and functions of a designated program to ensure that goals and objectives specified to the program are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations or other specifications. This position is intended for incumbents with responsibility for a particular program that provides a specific service or carries out specific activities as a component program within a department.
Requirements- Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible/compact state (required)
- AHA BLS HCP certification or equivalent (required)
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience, including at least one (1) year in a progressive leadership or supervisory role (required)
- Previous experience in staff education and professional development (orientation, preceptor ship, in‑services education, etc.) (preferred)
- Previous experience in an academic healthcare setting (preferred)
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing (required)
- Completion of a Master’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)
Lifting less than 20 lbs.; prolonged standing, sitting, bending, walking; climbing steps or ladder; strong recall, reasoning, problem‑solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly; fast‑paced environment; ability to adapt to frequent change.
