As a valued member of our team, you will be providing leadership and oversight for nursing services, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant delivery of health care support across programs. This role includes supervision of LPNs and other nursing staff during summer camp, oversight of medication management, training staff, and assisting with the coordination of care plans for participants. • Directly supervises LPNs and other nursing staff, particularly during summer camp.
• Provides mentoring, training, scheduling, and performance feedback to nursing team and other staff members.
• Conducts initial, interim, and annual employee performance reviews.
• Ensures appropriate delegation of nursing duties within scope of practice and licensing requirements.

• Oversees medication administration and ensures compliance with licensing guidelines.
• Trains and monitors nursing staff in policies and procedures related to medication administration, infection control, and health/safety protocols.
• Reviews physician orders, updates care plans, and ensures proper documentation.
• Responds to medical incidents and emergencies, provides debriefing, and implements corrective actions as needed.

• Ensures compliance with all state licensing requirements (VA DBHDS, DMAS, DSS, VA Board of Nursing) and organizational policies.
• Ensures compliance with all ACA health and safety protocols related to the nursing practice.
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of nursing policies and procedures.
• Evaluates program areas of risk and works to reduce medical and incident risk.

• Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 5 years of nursing experience.
• Two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
• Experience with Medicaid Waiver programs and individuals with disabilities.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Virginia (or compact license).
• CPR / First Aid / AED / Therapeutic Options Certified.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
