Your Responsibilities- Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care strategies
- Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions independently or in collaboration with physicians, depending on your credentials
- Providing education to patients and their families on preventive measures, wellness, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic care

- Maintaining accurate and complete records within electronic medical systems (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Virginia
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialization
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
