American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring VA or compact RN licensure and 2 years of telemetry experience.

• Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
• Telemetry work setting requiring cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
• EPIC charting system required for consideration
• Every other weekend (EOW) and 2 holidays required per contract
• Candidates may float within scope of practice if needed

• Active RN license, VA or compact, required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, neuro experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• 2 professional references required (supervisor level or above) along with hospital evaluations
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE) required

• Provide direct patient care including cardiac monitoring and emergency response for telemetry patients
• Facility maintains a natural nail policy
• Facility is a drug, tobacco, and smoke-free workplace
• Local candidates accepted at the same base rate with no radius restrictions
• Both travelers and permanent staff must be separated from VCU Health for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Time-off requests must be submitted upfront for manager approval; no time off granted during the first week of assignment
• Candidates will complete required orientation modules through the VCU Learning Exchange during orientation week
