American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring a VA or compact RN license and at least one year of acute care experience.

• Acute Care Medicine PCU unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00)
• Patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:5
• Epic charting system used
• Floating within scope required as needed
• May receive one holiday off per winter season, with no requests for more than one

• Active RN license (VA or compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent relevant RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• BSN preferred; diploma or Associate's degree from an accredited school (ACEN or CCNE) also accepted
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with telemetry/cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, respiratory care, wound care, and renal management
• 2 professional references (supervisor level or above) required

• Provide nursing care within an Acute Care Medicine PCU setting, including cardiac monitoring, respiratory support, and wound care
• Facility maintains a natural nail policy
• Drug, tobacco, and smoke-free workplace with no smoking allowed on campus
• Background checks conducted on all candidates
• Travelers and permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least six months to one year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates should not work over 40 hours per week unless approved by the unit manager
• Time-off requests must be submitted at the time of consideration, with no guaranteed time off during the first week of assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same base rate with no radius restrictions
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
