Med Surg Travel Nurse

This Med Surg travel nurse position in Richmond, Virginia, with Advantis Medical is a 13-week Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) contract at CJW Medical Center Chippenham Hospital. This role pays $2,006 per week and follows a Nights shift with a 3x12 schedule.

As the Med Surg registered nurse on this assignment, you'll prioritize care across a varied medical-surgical caseload, administer ordered medications and treatments, educate patients and families, and manage admissions, discharges, and safe care transitions.

• Manage a varied caseload of patients with acute and chronic medical-surgical conditions, including postoperative care when assigned
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor for changes in condition, escalating concerns promptly
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers with the interdisciplinary care team

• 2+ years of recent Med Surg nursing experience
• Active Virginia RN License

Chippenham Hospital is a 466-bed acute-care hospital on Richmond's Southside and a major trauma and cardiovascular center for central Virginia.
