Position: Sr. Sales Executive. Select (VA territory)
* Develop, influence, and implement advanced sales strategies to expand and manage a high-value portfolio of business, with the objective of driving profitable growth.
* Own assigned territory, including business development, leveraging performance metrics to create annual plans and manage territorial performance.
* Conduct comprehensive agency diagnostics to assess performance and identify strategic growth opportunities.
* Facilitate high-level agency appointments and build long-term relationships through office visits (both in-person and virtual).
* Prospect, onboard and set performance goals for new agencies, while providing training and support.
* May pre-qualify accounts as needed.
* Influence key agency partners through exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
* Collaborate with internal teams, such as, Product, Underwriting, and Operations to ensure alignment of sales strategies with broader business objectives.
* Understand Travelers Enterprise focus and seize opportunities to cross-sell Travelers products by initiating cross-functional meetings. Identify book transfer opportunities.
* Maintain extensive knowledge of competitor products and capabilities and local market trends and understands impact of state regulatory environment on agency business.
* Responsible for facilitating workshops and actively leading point of sale presentations for both internal and external audiences.
* Participate in and may lead team, cross team and/or cross business related projects.
* May provide training, coaching and mentoring to Associate Sales Executives and Sales Executives or manage staff on limited basis.
* Utilize sophisticated data and analytics to guide strategic sales decisions, measure performance metrics and identify opportunities for additional products and services to maintain a balanced portfolio.
* Leverage thorough knowledge of Travelers' systems and platforms to support the sales process.
* Leverage AI technologies to optimize industry processes, enhance decision-making, and drive innovation, while continuously learning and adapting to emerging AI trends and tools.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business or related field.
* Five or more years of insurance sales or related experience in managing a book of business, driving significant sales growth, achieving sales targets, conducting agency diagnostics and utilizing digital sales tools.
* Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) (or willingness to pursue).
* Extensive knowledge of Travelers products and general Property & Casualty marketplace.
* Extensive influencing and negotiation skills to encourage agency partners to adopt Travelers products and services.
* Proven ability to collaboratively build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to define goals and priorities and meet these goals in a timely manner.
* Exceptional organizational skills to manage complex tasks and priorities and meet sales goals and deadlines effectively.
* Demonstrated skills in coaching, training and mentoring others.
* Four years of sales experience within the insurance industry.
* Must live in the territory that they manage and have the ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
