Garda World Security Services is hiring a GSOC Surveillance Ambassador.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Handle calls for service; intake of media and emergency calls
  • Complete daily reporting; submit incident reports for input and approval
  • Notify elevation, upon approval (mass notification/Everbridge)
  • Conduct travel security reviews
  • Red Tag/Hot Works reporting
  • Ensure timely and effective response to incidents, alarms, notifications, calls, and other activities related to the Security Operations Center
  • Receive and respond to emergency and non‑emergency calls from employees, outside vendors, law enforcement, and security field force via telephone, automated alarm monitoring, and radio systems
  • Process and evaluate information received from all available sources, and respond with the appropriate communication and dispatch procedures
  • Coordinate with Security Operations Center staff to provide necessary documentation in support of uniformed guard force activity (e.g., Officer Dispatch, Incident Reporting)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required
  • Must pass a skills‑based assessment called "Criticall," administered after successful completion of the interview process.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required
  • Work experience must include the following:
    • Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills and ability to prepare reports
    • Ability to use logic and reasoning to reach conclusions and approaches to problem solving
    • Demonstrated high level of competency with advanced computer systems (hardware, software, and networks)
    • Ability to communicate effectively with IT and security systems professionals
    • Demonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment, and/or console monitors
    • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment while possibly working under pressure

  • Verifiable and successful security experience
  • Professional training and/or education in one or more of the following:
    • Customer service
    • Dispatch operations
    • Security and/or emergency services
  • Documented experience and competency in the following Security Software Systems:
    • Access Control/ (e.g., Pro Watch)
    • Alarm Receiving Automation software (e.g., Onyx Works)
    • Incident Management and computer‑assisted dispatch software
    • CCTV/Video Management systems (e.g., Max Pro)
    • Mass Notification systems (specifically, Everbridge)
    • Business Intelligence and Travel Tracking (e.g., iJet and NC4)
  • Experience in a modern 911 Call Center, Central Station Alarm Monitoring, or Dispatch Operation, Technical Security Control Room, or similar environment
Physical Requirements and Environment
  • Environment:
    Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures expected
  • Major activity:
    Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting
  • Physical efforts:
    Limited, including some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching
  • Must submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law
