Overview
Garda World Security Services is hiring a GSOC On Call Monitoring Officer. The role requires a sharp eye to capture every detail while monitoring a series of screens.

Location:
Richmond, VA - Full‑time 40 hours per week; shift schedule to be determined
- Competitive hourly wage of $27.00 per hour (Daily Pay is available for Garda World employees)

- Shifts of 8‑12 hours
- Must be able to accept last‑minute assignments due to call‑offs or no‑call no‑shows
- Handle calls for service; intake of media and emergency calls
- Complete daily reporting; incident report input and approval
- Notification elevation upon approval; mass notification/Everbridge
- Conduct travel security reviews
- Red Tag/Hot Works reporting
- Ensure timely and effective response to incidents, alarms, notifications, calls, and other activities related to the Security Operations Center and its role as a central alarm monitoring station
- Receive and respond to emergency and non‑emergency calls from employees, outside vendors, law enforcement, and the security field force via telephone, automated alarm monitoring and radio systems
- Process and evaluate information received from all available sources and respond with the appropriate communication and dispatch procedures
- Coordinate with Security Operations Center staff to provide necessary documentation in support of uniformed guard force activity (e.g., Officer Dispatch, Incident Reporting, etc.)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass the skills‑based assessment “Criticall” after a successful interview
- Experience with advanced computer systems, radio, telephone equipment and console monitors
- Analytic and critical thinking skills; ability to prepare reports
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and advanced computer systems
- Effective oral and written communication, planning, and organizing
- Problem solving, active listening, and ability to synthesize facts and concepts
- Associate degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Communications, or related field
- Verifiable and successful security experience
- Professional training and/or education in customer service, dispatch operations, or security and/or emergency services
- Documented experience and competency in the following security software systems:
Access Control/, Alarm Receiving Automation software, Incident Management software, CCTV/Video Management systems, Mass Notification systems, Business Intelligence and Travel Tracking - Experience in a modern 911 call center, central station alarm monitoring, or dispatch operation environment
- Office environment; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures
- Major activity:
Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting - Limited physical effort, standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching
- Must submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law
