Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer – Unarmed Government Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries, including government. You will deter security‑related incidents by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service while responding to situations as they arise.

- Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures and responding to emergencies.
- Respond to incidents calmly and with sound judgment, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report any unusual activities, hazards, or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unwanted activity and foster a secure environment.
- Collaborate with site staff and visitors on security-related questions and concerns.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Age 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background investigation required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal considers qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license required only for driving positions.
