As a Security Officer - Government Patrol in Richmond, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security‑related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will contribute to a secure environment for all visitors and staff.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, following site‑specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activities or security‑related incidents encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as needed, providing accurate and timely information regarding security‑related matters.
• Assist visitors and employees by providing information and guidance as needed, while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
