Overview
Under limited supervision, assigned daily work. May be required to explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities. Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various cleanup activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
Responsibilities- Assess vehicles and equipment to accurately diagnose needed repairs.
- Perform needed repairs associated with different vehicles and equipment.
- Perform routine service and inspections.
- Daily document time and service/maintenance performed.
- Keep work area/shop clean and organized.
- Wear required PPE specific to different locations on plant site.
- Must be willing to travel to different job sites five or more days out of the month to perform maintenance, service and repairs.
- When not traveling off site, mechanic will be performing different assigned tasks to support on site fleet equipment.
- Must clean, maintain, and keep organized company owned service truck.
Equipment description but not limited to: forklift, half to one-ton trucks, vans, aerial equipment, generators, light towers, sweepers, scrubbers, utility carts and scow removal equipment.
Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED
- Must have a valid travel driver's license
- Capable of being exposed to dusty, hot/cold/wet conditions (snow-rain)
- Must be able to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, elevated walkways, and walk, stand, stoop for extended periods of time, enter tight congested areas to include awkward position, and be able to lift 50 lbs. single person – 80 lbs. w/two persons.

The work schedule is 5/8’s.
Will be required to wear PPE such as hard hats, hearing protection, eye protection, safety shoes, respirators, Nomex, gloves, etc., but not limited to the PPE listed above.
Note:
all precautions are taken to remove equipment from production areas to mitigate associates to exposure of hazards at the different sites.

At times, additional work hours & schedules will exist at the request of the client to meet specific work schedules support Maintenance, Capital, and Production work activities.
