Heavy Equipment Operator – Richmond

Reports to:

Project Superintendent / Project Foreman

• Operates heavy industrial equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, backhoes and other grading or excavating equipment to move and level materials such as dirt and gravel.

• Monitors activity within the site.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Spreads dirt in fill area.
• Clears and grubs area being worked.
• Performs fine and rough grade operations.
• Runs a fill area.
• Reads slope stakes.
• Cuts slope to the job's specifications (type of slope, ditch cut depths, and fill section heights).
• Directs trucks and equipment where to off-load, stock, or spread material loads.
• Dresses and cleans up job at completion.
• Water, oil, grease, services and makes normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• Operates equipment in a safe and consistent manner.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.
• Performs all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.

• High School Diploma (Preferred)

• 3-5 Years Operating Various Heavy Equipment.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Understands GPS grade control.
• Knowledge of grades.
