Position SummaryIntegrated Systems Service Technician provides safe and efficient service on multiple integrated systems. The technician resolves technical issues, offers potential solutions, communicates effectively with customers, and demonstrates customer‑oriented, patient service. Integrated systems may include fire alarm, intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, IP cameras, networking infrastructure, telecom, BDA, DAS, audio/video, nurse call, area of refuge, intercom, Crestron, Extron, Honeywell, Notifier, Gamewell FCI, Silent Knight, Fire Lite, Siemens, Auto Call/JCI, or RATH.

- Two to three years of experience servicing one or more systems: fire alarm, security, camera, access control, or similar.
- Proficient in following written and verbal instructions with exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain productivity in the field, set goals, and meet service schedules.
- Competent in reading plans, documents, meters, and discerning colors for safety signage.
- Eagerness for professional development and growth.
- Ability to pass background checks.
- Reliable transportation and a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable record for company vehicle use.
- Desirable (but not required):
- NICET I or II, Avigilon certification, or other manufacturer certifications.
- Install, test, and repair security, camera, access control, suppression, and fire alarm systems.
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions and false alarms.
- Program multiple types of systems and test for proper operation.
- Consult with clients on system issues and provide repair recommendations.
- Use blueprints or building plans to determine proper systems based on layout and setting.
- Run wiring and circuits, install hardware, and attach electrical wires.
- Inspect and test systems, batteries, and wiring; adjust and repair as needed.
- Replace malfunctioning hardware when necessary.
- Ensure systems comply with NEC and NFPA fire codes.
- Explain and demonstrate system function and operation to end users.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Be on call as required.
- Serve as first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone or email.
- Perform remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
- Provide support for form development and maintenance of inspection forms.
- Apply office automation, database, and remote control knowledge.
- Follow design plans for installation jobs; communicate any design changes, perform service, and document deficiencies.
