The Critical Environments Technician is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Electrical, Mechanical and Automated Control systems within the facility. CET monitors operations and conditions while conducting routing inspections of the site. CET’s respond and mitigate equipment faults to minimize system down time. Technicians work in teams to perform energy isolation and energization evolutions.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on HVAC, Electrical and Automated Controls Systems in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.
- Troubleshoot HVAC, Electrical and Automated Controls Systems in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.
- Follow all local and industry safety standards and regulations.
- Attend daily maintenance meeting to discuss operations.
- Assist in creating Maintenance Operating Procedures.
- Administratively update Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
- Perform electrical power isolation procedures.
- Power, bond, level, move and inspect Data Hall rack equipment.
- Perform routine inspection on specified equipment to verify integrity of systems.
- Respond to incidents or instrument failures to prevent or minimize system outages.
- Assist with ordering parts for scheduled maintenance or identified corrective maintenance.
- Perform EOP drills on a monthly basis to training for emergency responses.
- Complete all required safety and equipment training, certifications, and licensing.
- Complete risk assessments prior to performing all maintenance evolutions.
- Escort and manage third‑party vendors on site in the performance of maintenance.
- 6+ years’ experience in data center or technical facilities with high school diploma or GED is required.
- Due to customer site access requirements, candidates must successfully complete an enhanced background screening process prior to hire.
- Strong troubleshooting background.
- Ability to operate independently and as part of a team.
- Familiar with MS Office Programs and ability to utilize CMMS systems.
- HVAC or Electrical with a journeyman preferred or equivalent.

- Lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Relocate a 12‑foot stepladder without assistance.
- Work at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
- Walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
- Possess good vision (may be corrected), ability to see in color, and ability to hear and communicate in English.
- Use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
