Software Engineer - Back End Developer

The Staff Software Engineer-Back End Developer will be an integral part of our team engaged in fine tuning and enhancing our propriety software tool. Essential Functions & Duties:

• Design and implement backend microservices using Node.js and Type Script
• Build scalable APIs for internal tools and external integrations
• Optimize database queries and schema designs
• Drive towards an event driven asynchronous system
• Lead the modularization of our system into containerized microservices
• Drive improvement towards automated test coverage

• 5+ years backend experience in Node.js using Type Script
• Adv. knowledge of Postgre
  
  SQL, relational data design, and performance tuning Built and scaled modular, real-time backend systems
• Deep knowledge of RESTful API design, security, and reliability
• Production experience with cloud deployment platforms (preferably AWS)
• CI/CD and testing mindset with high code coverage
• Experience scaling systems into high-availability platforms
• Strong communication and documentation habits
• Experience integrating with 3rd party software (e.g. ERP/PLM tools)
