Job Description

Software Engineer II – Full‑Stack Web Engineer at CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP), a leading global provider of commercial and residential real estate information, analytics and online marketplaces. This role supports our Web Enterprise team building the software tools that power our proprietary CRM platform and support sales and research teams across , , , , and more. The position is located in our Richmond, VA office and requires a Monday‑Thursday in‑office schedule with Fridays work‑from‑home.

• Develop and maintain engaging, responsive, and high‑performance web applications using React, Type Script and Tailwind CSS.
• Build reusable, scalable, and secure UI components and libraries with a focus on maintainability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including designers, backend developers and product managers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute to and maintain shared component libraries and front‑end architecture.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using Jest and React Testing Library.
• Participate actively in code reviews, pair programming and agile ceremonies.
• Mentor other developers.
• Be a subject‑matter expert in the front‑end technology stack.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited, not‑for‑profit university or college.
• 3+ years of production development experience using modern front‑end frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in React.js, Type Script and Tailwind CSS.
• Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and responsive design.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and familiarity with front‑end build tools such as Webpack and Babel.
• Strong grasp of web standards, accessibility and security best practices.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Experience in unit, performance and automation testing.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
• Track record of commitment to previous employers.

• Experience with state‑management libraries such as Redux or Context API.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git.
• Experience with .NET Core and SQL Server, including integrating front‑end components into a secure, maintainable backend architecture.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server) and document data systems such as Dynamo
  
  DB or Elastic Search.
• Comfortable working across the stack with Node.js on the server‑side.
• Nice‑to‑have experience with AWS S3, Lambda, SQS, Kafka and Redis.
