Senior Power Builder Developer – Required LOCAL to Virginia or Willing to Relocate, Only Permanent Residents can apply
New position at RICEFW Technologies Inc. Hire a senior‑level Power Builder developer to support the Virginia Department of Taxation’s IRMS legacy system and develop interfaces between Gent Tax and IRMS. The role requires on‑site presence 3–4 days per week, U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, and strong teamwork and communication skills.
ProjectProject Lighthouse backfill to maintain IRMS legacy systems and develop interfaces between Gent Tax and IRMS during the modernization period to support all four rollouts.
Highly Preferred Skills- Technical knowledge in designing, developing and maintaining tax processing and revenue management systems.
- Product knowledge of the IRMS system and/or functional knowledge.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑motivated and able to work well in a team.
- Interact with a multi‑disciplined team to clarify, analyze, assess requirements.
- Work independently and collaboratively on a multi‑disciplined project team in an Agile development environment.
- Contribute to detailed design and architectural discussions as well as customer requirements sessions to support the implementation of Power Builder applications.
Power Builder applications (12.5 or higher) – 7 years of experience.
Design and develop clear, maintainable code – 5 years experience.
Team Foundation Server (Azure Dev Ops) – 5 years experience.
Agile/Scrum project management environments – 2 years experience.
Independent and collaborative team work – 2 years experience.
Attention to detail and results‑driven mindset – 2 years experience.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills – 2 years experience.
Relational databases (Oracle 19c or higher, MySQL, or similar) – 7 years experience.
Design and develop clear, maintainable code – 7 years experience.
Product knowledge of the IRMS system and/or related functional knowledge – 7 years experience (highly desired).
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
