SwimRVA is looking for a
Professional Rescuer
(Lifeguard) who has a passion for life safety and thrives on working in a team environment. The SwimRVA Professional Rescuer (lifeguard) has a front row seat to all our world-class events, along with our life-changing learn-to-swim programs and community wellness outreach. The right candidate will utilize their training and certifications to provide the highest levels of service to all users of SwimRVA facilities.

The SwimRVA Professional Rescuer is additionally trained in general facility operations. The SwimRVA Professional Rescuer has a fast career advancement track that offers opportunities in life safety, SwimRVA Safety School faculty positions, and facility operations. The SwimRVA Professional Rescuer job duties:

• Ensure safety of all patrons, guests, and employees throughout the facility
• Maintain facility cleanliness
• Perform general facility operations
• Assist with set up and load out of world-class events

Qualifications:

• A positive attitude and work ethic
• Candidates must be at least 15 years old
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification preferred or willing to obtain through the SwimRVA Safety School

Salary/ Benefits:

• Part-time position
• Starting salary at $14.25/hour
