** Key Responsibilities
*** Provide construction assurance and technical oversight of MEP works across shafts, head houses, and portal buildings.
* Ensure all works comply with approved designs, specifications, standards, and project requirements.
* Review and assure installation methodologies, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), commissioning plans, and quality documentation.
* Monitor contractor performance and verify compliance with contractual obligations and regulations.
* Manage interfaces between civil, structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines.
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and assurance reviews across construction and commissioning stages.
* Identify and escalate technical, quality, safety, or programme-related issues.
* Support testing, commissioning, and system handovers.
* Collaborate with Design, Construction, Commercial, and Project Controls teams.
* Participate in risk and change management processes and assist in resolving issues.
* Produce construction assurance reports for project leadership.
** Essential Requirements
*** Proven experience in Construction Assurance Manager, Construction Manager, Site Manager, or Project Engineer roles.
* Strong background in MEP delivery within large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Demonstrated experience assuring installation and commissioning of:  + Mechanical systems  + Electrical systems  + Public health and life safety systems
* Effective understanding of technical assurance, inspection, and commissioning protocols.
* Competent in multidisciplinary coordination and stakeholder engagement.
* Strong communication and reporting skills.
** Desirable Requirements
*** Experience on HS2 or similar rail/tunnelling projects.
* Experience working on shafts, tunnels, portals, or headhouse projects.
* Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services or Construction Engineering.
* Familiarity with NEC contracts and quality management practices.
