Behaviour Mentor - Rickmansworth (Temp to Perm)
Location: Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: £90-£110 per day (DOE)
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only | Temp to Perm

Are you calm under pressure, confident in your approach, and passionate about helping young people reach their full potential?

We are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support students in Rickmansworth from January 2026. This position is ideal for someone with experience in behaviour management, youth work, pastoral care, or mentoring who is motivated to make a genuine difference to students' academic progress and emotional development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide in-class support and deliver small-group behaviour interventions
  • Help remove barriers to learning arising from behavioural or emotional challenges
  • Mentor pupils to boost confidence, resilience, and motivation
  • Work closely with teaching staff to maintain a positive and respectful learning environment
  • Record behaviour incidents and contribute to targeted intervention strategies
Qualifications
  • Experience supporting young people with behavioural needs in school or youth settings
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour support
  • Committed to promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and student wellbeing
  • A team player with a proactive, growth-focused mindset
  • Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain one)
