This permanent learning support assistant post at Rickmansworth School, an 11-18 academy, centres on helping students who need extra support to take part fully in lessons. The work involves backing students alongside teaching staff, often those with additional needs, so they can access the curriculum. The role is term-time with five INSET days, at 31 hours a week Monday to Friday, and suits someone who can give tailored one-to-one or small-group help.

- Support students with additional needs in and out of the classroom
- Help students engage with their learning and access the curriculum
- Work closely with teaching staff
- Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups
- Help foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Build students' confidence, independence and academic progress
Skills & knowledge
- Patience, enthusiasm and passion for supporting young people
- DBS check
- Declaration of any criminal convictions
- CPD opportunities to support professional growth
