Looking for a role where you can use your commissioning expertise before the kit even hits site?
This is a senior-level position for someone who’s confident working across both delivery and pre-construction, shaping the commissioning approach, supporting design development, and guiding a small team across clean water projects within the Affinity Water region.

You’ll be joining a leading contractor delivering a major AMP8 clean water programme where your input will directly influence design, delivery, and successful handover.

💡 The Role

You’ll work closely with the Commissioning Manager, providing leadership and technical oversight across multiple projects.
From writing commissioning plans and programmes to supporting the pre-construction phase, you’ll be the go-to person for all things MEICA commissioning.

What you’ll be doing :

• Leading the planning, coordination and delivery of commissioning activities

• Providing commissioning input during pre-construction and design development

• Supporting documentation production including plans, procedures and test sheets

• Acting as a key interface between the client, design, and delivery teams

• Providing technical support to procurement and ensuring supply chain readiness

• Overseeing site commissioning teams, offering guidance and support where required

🔧 What You’ll Need

• Strong background in MEICA commissioning within clean water treatment or networks

• Electrical bias preferred, but not essential

• Demonstrable experience writing and developing commissioning documentation and programmes

• Confident leading or mentoring other engineers

• SMSTS / CSCS (or willing to obtain)

• Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK
