Senior MEICA Commissioning Engineer | Clean Water | Affinity Water Region

Looking for a role where you can use your commissioning expertise before the kit even hits site? This is a senior‑level position for someone who's confident working across both delivery and pre‑construction, shaping the commissioning approach, supporting design development, and guiding a small team across clean water projects within the Affinity Water region.

You’ll be joining a leading contractor delivering a major AMP8 clean water programme where your input will directly influence design, delivery, and successful handover.

You’ll work closely with the Commissioning Manager, providing leadership and technical oversight across multiple projects. From writing commissioning plans and programmes to supporting the pre‑construction phase, you’ll be the go‑to person for all things MEICA commissioning.

• Leading the planning, coordination and delivery of commissioning activities
• Providing commissioning input during pre‑construction and design development
• Supporting documentation production including plans, procedures and test sheets
• Acting as a key interface between the client, design, and delivery teams
• Providing technical support to procurement and ensuring supply chain readiness
• Overseeing site commissioning teams, offering guidance and support where required

• Strong background in MEICA commissioning within clean water treatment or networks
• Electrical bias preferred, but not essential
• Demonstrable experience writing and developing commissioning documentation and programmes
• Confident leading or mentoring other engineers
• SMSTS / CSCS (or willing to obtain)
• Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK
