Basic Function
Kern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. Qualified applicants may be contacted immediately if a need arises. Applications remain active for up to two years.

The district is seeking part-time, hourly adjunct instructors in nursing. The starting salary is $60.00/hour, with potential variation based on assignment and LHE formula. Refer to the CCA collective bargaining agreement or HR for details.

Representative Duties
Teaching at various campus sites, including day, evening, weekend, large classes, and distance learning; utilizing multiple teaching methodologies; participating in student recruitment, curriculum development, and professional activities.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's in nursing; OR Bachelor's in nursing and Master's in health education or health science; OR qualifications set by the Board of Registered Nursing; OR equivalent with proper documentation. Candidates must demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.

Knowledge & Abilities
Broad discipline knowledge, effective communication, curriculum development, student assessment, technological proficiency, and commitment to the community college mission.
