We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Wound Care Nurse Practitioner – Program Director to lead the development of a comprehensive wound care program across Ridgecrest Regional Hospital’s acute, long‑term care, ambulatory, and post‑acute settings. This is a unique opportunity to shape a system‑wide clinical service that improves healing outcomes and enhances quality of care.

In this leadership role, you will provide direct patient care within your scope of practice, including rounding and writing orders, while also supervising a wound care nurse and other clinical professionals. You’ll collaborate closely with cross‑disciplinary teams to ensure best practices and consistency in wound treatment protocols.

Deliver advanced wound care services across multiple care environments, rounding on patients, evaluating wound healing, and initiating treatment plans. Educate patients, caregivers, and families on wound care. You’ll also be responsible for documentation and collaboration with attending providers to ensure safe, effective care.

Develop and oversee the wound care program, including treatment protocols, staff education, and quality standards. Supervise wound care staff and coordinate with physicians, nursing, rehabilitation, and home health teams. Participate in QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement) initiatives, ensuring program‑wide alignment with evidence‑based practices and patient‑centered care.

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in California
• BSN, MSN, or equivalent clinical background
• 5+ years of wound care experience, preferably in hospital and post‑acute settings
• Wound Care Certification: CWCA, CWS, CWON, CWOCN, or WCC (required or obtained within first year)
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations in SNF, hospital, and outpatient clinics
• One year of experience in program development/implementation or two years in a supervisory role (preferred)
• Strong clinical leadership and supervisory skills
• Proficiency in communication, coordination, and care planning
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English
• Must be able to demonstrate Service Excellence with patients, families, coworkers, and community
