Perform buying duties of pharmaceutical wholesale company. Prepare purchase orders and submit to suppliers and distributors. Compare suppliers' invoices with purchase orders to verify accuracy. Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and price lists. Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve any delivery issues. Inspect shipments upon arrival to ensure correct quantity & quality. Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.

Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs and order more products as needed. Respond to supplier communications about order status, and any changes. Monitor in-house inventory movement and complete inventory forms for bookkeeping purposes.
