What You’ll DoOffer an exceptional patient experience at the reception area of Patient Financial Services (PFS). Serves as the first point of contact for patients making inquiries of PFS.
- Maintains positive, professional, and helpful demeanor
- Greet patients in person or by phone, update patient information, and communicate with patients
- Reviews and follows up on billing, adjusts accounts, answers inquiries, and updates accounts
- Collects payments and coordinates insurance tasks
- Maintains daily communication within the PFS department
- Builds and maintains effective relationships with patients, providers, coworkers, and community members
- Cross-trains with other PFS department members and provides backup support as needed
- Provides customer service to patients, coworkers, and community members
- Takes messages, distributes to appropriate personnel, and documents patient issues
- Performs various clerical duties, scans paperwork into electronic systems
- Working experience in a similar role in a healthcare setting preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Pay Range: $17.50 - $23.65/hour (based on experience)
- Shift Differentials:$2–$4/hour for nights and weekends

Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
