This role is responsible for managing portable and pre-engineered services, sprinkler testing and inspection services, and fire alarm services, with a focus on effective implementation and customer retention.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Oversee installation and upgrade projects for fire extinguishers, pre-engineered systems, fire sprinklers, and fire alarms in commercial and residential properties, ensuring compliance with safety standards and client requirements.
- Serve as primary liaison with building engineers, property managers, and site contacts to communicate project status and resolve issues.
- Manage inspection and maintenance programs, including testing and repair of fire extinguishers, pre-engineered systems, fire sprinklers, and fire alarms to guarantee operational readiness.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by developing and enforcing inspection protocols aligned with local and national fire codes.
- Review and approve detailed inspection reports, providing guidance and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Protect and maintain company equipment.
- Monitor team performance and project timelines, ensuring work is completed efficiently and reported promptly.
- Perform other duties assigned by leadership.
- 2–3 years of experience with commercial and residential systems.
- NICET certification and knowledge of NFPA standards (including 70 and 72) preferred.
- High School Diploma or Technical school certificate preferred.
- Ability to act in a lead capacity and manage teams or groups of individuals on projects (managerial experience preferred).
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends and occasional out-of-town assignments.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
- Ability to travel when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
- Requires balance, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
- $55,000 - $65,000 (salary) DOE
- January 1, 2026
