Registered Nurse
Full Time Med/Surg Department - Grand River Health | Rifle, CO What You’ll Do
The Registered Nurse (RN) works as a contributing member of the Med/Surg Department at our main hospital campus. They will provide professional nursing care, treatment, counseling, and health education to assigned inpatients. The RN works as a part of a health care team and plans in conjunction with physicians and other care team members.
- Monitors vital signs and administers medications, including intravenous medications, with input from the care team.
- Supports patients with bandage care, pain management, and ensuring they rest, drink fluids, and eat properly.
- Tracks patient progress, updates medical records, and communicates with doctors as needed.
- Educates patients and stands up for them when necessary.
- Helps maintain health and prevents illnesses, injuries, and disabilities.
- Completes various tasks as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado required.
- Must have current BLS card upon hire.
- Position also requires ACLS, PALS or ENPC certification within 6 months of initial employment.
- All required certifications must be maintained in current status throughout GRHD employment.
- Prefer one year of professional nursing experience in a patient care setting. Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Pay Range: $30.50- $44.91 /hour (based on experience)
- Shift Differentials:$2–$4/hour for nights and weekends

Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
