Job Description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Bag groceries at checkout for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.

Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).

Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.

Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.

Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.

Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return shopping carts, and clean spills and trash inside and outside the store.

Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.

Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.

Adhere to food safety regulations, inspect equipment, and report repairs needed.

Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions, and follow all laws and company guidelines.

Work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments, manage conflict, and act with honesty and integrity.

Support customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Customer Service skills
Effective communication skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

Retail experience is preferred but not necessary
