Position Overview:
The Human Resources Coordinator supports HR operations for Teton Outfitters’ Apparel Portfolio. This role is responsible for facilitating core HR functions including staffing, onboarding, employee engagement, and compliance. The ideal candidate brings a collaborative mindset, can work independently, and has the capability to align HR best practices with business objectives.
- Lead and support HR functions: staffing, interviewing, onboarding, policy enforcement, and training
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, including facility tours and orientation sessions
- Maintain and organize personnel records in compliance with legal and company policies
- Assist with documentation and tracking of employee relations issues and disciplinary actions
- Support employee performance standards in productivity, safety, and quality
- Process transactions in HRIS (e.g., hires, terminations, transfers, compensation changes)
- Prepare HR documents and communication materials (onboarding packets, benefit guides, recruiting content)
- Design marketing and promotional materials for recruiting and community outreach
- Respond to employee inquiries and collaborate with HR and Operations on ER issues
- Manage payroll and timecard auditing/processing
- Support and lead initiatives that promote employee engagement and workplace satisfaction
- Ensure consistency and compliance with federal and state employment laws
- Contribute to HR continuous improvement initiatives and process efficiency
- Represent the company at community events to strengthen employer branding
- Perform other HR-related duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- HR certification or related HR experience is a plus
- Sound judgment with the ability to apply HR practices to business challenges
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written
- Exceptional problem-solving and customer service capabilities
- Well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate in both in-person and virtual environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with HR software and payroll administration preferred (Workday)
